MAMMOGRAMS
Drawings for our Donation Quilt raise funds for the guild,
which includes a donation to the Seward County Health Department:
.
In 1995, the guild was instrumental in getting the cost of a mammogram
reduced to $75 during Southwest Medical Center's promotion of
Breast Cancer Awareness in October.  There were so many requests
that scheduling was extended through November.
Each year since then N&FQG has donated to the
Seward County Health Department to pay for
mammograms for those who cannot afford one.
President Vicki Cooper presented a check
at the October 6, 2009, meeting to Linda Milhon
from the Seward County Health Department.

QUILTS OF VALOR
At the present time, one of our projects is to make
quilts and pillowcases for our servicemen and their families.
Groups have formed to work on the "Strip as You Go Quilts."
Check out the Patriotic Pillowcases
Guild members made October 2007 for our sevicemen.

TURBANS FOR CHEMO PATIENTS
An on-going project for many years has been making
turbans of those undergoing chemo.  It's an easy to make
turban that members get together to make or make them at home.
They have been distributed not only locally but also in several states.

Chairwomen for these projects are
